The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national educational board that oversees more than 24,000 schools in India and around 240 schools in 26 countries worldwide. As of August 2024, the board includes 1,248 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), 26,054 government or aided schools, 16,741 independent schools, 661 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and 71 Central Tibetan Schools. CBSE administers board examinations for 10th and 12th-grade students every year in February and March.
